Announcement on the partial lifting of restrictions on the Library of Lodz University of Technology of 06 May 2020.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Taking into consideration the needs of students, doctoral students and employees the work of the Library of Lodz University of Technology in the field of book borrowing and returning will be partially restored from 11 May 2020.

The rules of stationary use of Lodz University of Technology Library effective from 11 May 2020 are as follows:

  • borrowing books –orders are placed round the clock, only online, and are carried out the next day,
  • collection of books ordered this way will be possible in the borrowing area on the first floor between 8-16,
  • book returns and clearance sheets will be handled in the reading room on the ground floor from 8 am to 4 pm,
  • returned books can be borrowed after 24-hour quarantine,
  • return boxes will not be available,
  • making digital copies of articles from magazines and fragments of books available in the TUL Library in the traditional version- for orders placed online at oou@lib.p.lodz.pl,
  • access to electronic sources will also be maintained for persons with outstanding obligations to the TUL Library until it is cancelled,
  • borrowing books will be launched in branch libraries,
  • it will not be possible to return books borrowed in branch libraries, these returns will be accepted only in the Main Library,
  • no fees will be charged for late returns until the restoration of direct education at the University,
  • the return to the extensions of borrowed books according to the regulations will take place from the date of resumption of the borrowing services.

Both the reading rooms and the fiction library remain closed to users until further notice.
