Rules and restrictions

Sanitary rules and restrictions currently in force at Lodz University of Technology due to the threats posed by the COVID-19 epidemic

Covering the mouth and nose with protective masks:

  • is mandatory in all buildings of the University,
  • exceptions are rooms where only 1 person (employee) is present.

Using protective gloves:

  • is mandatory in places where it is not possible to disinfect hands and in places marked by the instructor/teacher.

Maintaining a safe distance:

  • it is mandatory to keep at least 1.5 m distance from other persons in all University buildings, where it is possible to do so (corridors, toilets, libraries, reading rooms, quiet work areas, etc),
  • in work premises where it is impossible to keep at least 1.5 m distance from other workstations due to the nature of the activity, the employer shall provide personal protective equipment for employees.

Hand disinfection:

  • is mandatory at the entrances to the buildings and in addition at the entrances to all rooms where teaching is conducted.

Surface disinfection:

  • disinfection of table surfaces, hard seating surfaces, frequently used places (e.g. doorknobs, light switches, etc.) in the rooms is mandatory,
  • in classrooms where classes are held with students, disinfection should be carried out each time before the start of classes,
  • disinfection shall be carried out by employees designated by administrators of individual buildings.

The permissible number of persons who may be simultaneously present in the premises where classes are held:

  • the number of people simultaneously participating in a given teaching activity conducted in a room of the university from the point of view of COVID-19 is not subject to limitation.

The permissible number of persons permitted to be in the library/reading room at the same time:

  • a limit of 15 persons or a limit of 1 person per 10 m² of room area applies, excluding library staff.

The permissible number of persons in administrative work rooms at the same time:

  • a limit of 1.5 m distance between workstations applies.

Organisation of training, fairs, conferences, congresses, exhibitions, meetings, indoor meetings:

  • a limit of 1 person per 10 m2 of floor space, not including persons vaccinated against COVID-19, must be observed,
  • mouth and nose must be covered with a protective mask.

Organisation of university ceremonies indoors:

  • no more than 75% of the number of seats must be made available to spectators or listeners, not including those vaccinated against COVID-19,
  • if there are no designated seats in the auditorium, a distance of 1.5 m between spectators or listeners must be observed,
  • mouth and nose must be covered with a protective mask.

Organisation of musical events, indoor concerts:

  • no more than 75% of the number of seats must be made available to spectators or listeners, not including those vaccinated against COVID-19, and a distance of 1.5 m between spectators or listeners must be observed if no designated seats are available,
  • there is a limit of 1 person per 10 m2 of floor space,
  • mouth and nose must be covered with a protective mask.

Organisation of indoor and outdoor sports activities:

  • in the premises of sports facilities where sporting activities take place and in changing rooms and sanitary junctions, disinfection should be carried out each time before the start of activities,
  • disinfection of the premises is carried out by employees designated by the administrators of individual buildings,
  • disinfection of hands, devices and sports equipment is obligatory after each use and for each group of users,
  • there is a 15-minute interval between entering and exiting sports activities.

The permissible number of people who can simultaneously be in the swimming area:

  • no more than 75% occupancy of the facility, not including persons vaccinated against COVID-19, is to be made available.

The permissible number of people who can simultaneously use the gym or take part in fitness classes:

  • there is a limit of 1 person per 10 m2 of floor space, not including people vaccinated against COVID-19.

Organisation of indoor sports events:

  • no more than 50% of the number of seats provided for the public shall be available, not including persons vaccinated against COVID-19,
  • it is compulsory to designate seats for the audience every second seat in alternate rows,
  • If there are no designated seats, a distance of 1.5 m between persons must be observed,
  • the mouth and nose must be covered with a protective mask.

Organisation of outdoor sports events:

  • there is a limit of 500 participants outside the sports facilities,
  • no more than 50% of the number of seats provided for the public shall be available, not including persons vaccinated against COVID-19,
  • it is compulsory to designate seats for the audience every second seat in alternate rows,
  • If there are no designated seats, a distance of 1.5 m between persons must be observed,
  • the mouth and nose must be covered with a protective mask.

Operating rules for catering establishments and canteens:

  • customers must cover their mouth and nose with a protective mask until they take the place where they will eat,
  • it is compulsory for staff to cover their mouth and nose with a protective mask,
  • no more than 75% of the number of seats on the premises is available to customers, not including those vaccinated against COVID-19,
  • there is a minimum distance of 1.5 m between the tables, unless there is a partition at least 1 m high between the tables, measured from the table surface.

Operating rules for retail outlets, kiosks, photocopiers:

  • it is compulsory to cover the mouth and nose with a protective mask,
  • there is a limit of 1 person per 10 m2 of floor space, excluding staff,
  • it is mandatory to place a notice in front of the establishment stating the limit of persons permitted on the premises at any one time and to take measures to ensure that this limit is complied with.

 

Rules for the use of student halls of residence:

  • it is compulsory to cover the mouth and nose with a protective mask in common areas,
  • a minimum distance of 1.5 m must be kept from other people,
  • there is a limit on the number of people who can be in common areas such as kitchens and kitchenettes, laundry rooms, drying rooms and restrictions on the use of the lift,
  • it is compulsory to post, at the entrance to the premises, information on the limit of persons who may be present at any one time and to take measures to ensure that this limit is observed,
  • parties and assemblies and the reception of visitors who do not reside on the Academic Residential Estate is prohibited,
  • direct contact with administrative staff is restricted,
