Announcement issued on the basis of the Ordinance No. 21/2020 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology of 9 March 2020 on specific measures related to prevention, counteraction and control of the SARS-CoV-2 virus at Lodz University of Technology.
In connection with the government's decisions to take the necessary measures in the fight against SARS-CoV-2 virus, on the basis of: Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 6 November 2020 amending the Regulation on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and prohibitions in connection with the occurrence of a state of epidemic (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 1972) introducing from 7 to 29 November 2020 a restriction on the operation of public and scientific libraries, (https://www.gov.pl/web/nauka/zasady-organizacji-zajec-na-uczelniach-w-z…) The operation of the TUL Library and its branches is suspended from 14 November 2020 to 29 November 2020, with the exception of services provided remotely as follows:
1. From 14 November 2020 (Saturday), the Library's office hours are cancelled. Ordering and borrowing books from the library and its branches is suspended. Books already ordered can be picked up in the library on Monday November 16, 2020 from 10:00-13:00.
2. Books can be returned only via the returns box located outside the Main Library - building B22. The returned books will be removed from the reader's account on the following day between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Returns of books borrowed in the branch libraries are made through the returns box in the Main Library. 3. Clearance slips will be signed after sending them by e-mail to oou@lib.p.lodz.pl, provided that the borrowed books are returned.
4. Fees for overdue books are suspended.
5. The open areas of the Library and its branches remain closed.
6. Electronic orders are introduced for scans of necessary fragments of materials from printed collections of the Library. Accepting orders for scans of materials should be sent to oou@lib.p.lodz.pl between 9:00-14:00 Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 2 p.m. or during holidays will be processed on the next working day.
7. Information about services, procedures and scientific information will be provided only in a remote form by telephone 42 631-20-73 between 9:00 and 14:00, by e-mail oou@lib.p.lodz.pl or opi@lib.p.lodz.pl,communicators: Messenger via Facebook, "Ask the librarian" - available from the main page of the Library from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 21:00 and on Saturdays between 10:00 and 14:00.
8. Remote use of the electronic collections of the TUL Library made available by ŁRBC CYBRA http://cybra.lodz.pl/dlibra, the Repository of TUL Employee publications CYRENA http://repozytorium.p.lodz.pl/ , purchased electronic source services http://bg.p.lodz.pl/wykaz-zrodel is encouraged.
9. Applications for bibliometric analyses should be submitted only by e-mail to oze@lib.p.lodz.pl.
