Information procedure for employees, students and doctoral students of Lodz University of Technology in relation to the prevention, counteraction and combating the SARS-CoV-2 virus
I hereby define the following information obligations for employees, students and doctoral students ofLodz University of Technology in the event of suspicion of and confirmation of infection with SARS-CoV-2:
1. For the purposes of this Announcement, the following definitions are introduced:
1) immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology - in the case of an employee - the Rector / Dean / Director / Head of the organizational unit, and in the case of a student / doctoral student, the appropriate Vice-Dean for Student Affairs;
2) Vice-Dean for Student Affairs - Vice-Dean for Student Affairs, Head of the college for students, Head of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology for doctoral students of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology and Head of doctoral studies for participants of doctoral studies;
3) close contact:
a) being in close proximity (face to face) at a distance of less than 2 m for more than 15 minutes,
b) staying in the same room for at least 15 minutes,
c) direct physical contact (e.g. shaking hands),
d) direct contact, without protective measures, with the secretions of another person (e.g. touching a used tissue, exposure to a person coughing);
4) quarantine - isolation of a healthy person who was exposed to virus infection
SARS-CoV-2, which is imposed by authorized entities, eg the State Sanitary Inspection;
5) isolation - isolation of a person in the event of a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 infection;
6) self-isolation at home - self-isolation of a healthy person at home due to exposure to SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, recommended by the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology under the conditions set by them;
7) remote work - performing work specified in the employment contract outside the place of its permanent performance, e.g. at home;
8) learning with the use of distance learning methods and techniques - learning with the use of methods and techniques that use infrastructure and software to ensure synchronous and asynchronous interaction between students and teachers.
2. Employee / student / doctoral student suspected of being infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus:
1) an employee / student / doctoral student who suspects that he is infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus should immediately perform the following actions:
a) immediately inform the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology without contact (by phone and / or e-mail) about any suspected
SARS-CoV-2 virus infection,
b) stay at home if currently working / studying with the use of distance education methods and techniques or go home if currently working / studying stationary and follow the instructions given by the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology,
c) contact your primary care physician for a consultation / medical visit;
2) the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology of a person suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus should immediately perform the following actions:
a) order the employee / student / doctoral student to undergo a consultation / medical visit as soon as possible,
b) order the employee to perform work remotely, and if, due to the nature of the work, the employee cannot work remotely, the immediate superior is obliged to instruct the employee to self-isolate at home and minimize contacts (household members),
c) order the student / doctoral student to participate only in classes conducted with the use of distance learning methods and techniques.
3. Employee / student / doctoral student whose doctor ordered a test for SARS-CoV-2 infection:
1) an employee / student / doctoral student who has had an appointment / medical consultation and has been referred for a test for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus should immediately perform the following steps:
a) inform the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology by phone and / or post
e-mail about the SARS-CoV-2 virus test ordered to them,
b) provide the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology with information about people from close contact with Lodz University of Technology, with whom he had contact during the 3 days preceding the day of commissioning the test,
c) perform a test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus;
2) the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology of the person whose doctor ordered the test for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus should immediately perform the following steps:
a) establish a list of employees / students / doctoral students of Lodz University of Technology who are close contacts and notify their immediate superiors that they had contact with the person who was commissioned to test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus,
b) provide information about the employee who was commissioned to test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, who is in quarantine, and information about whether or not he continued remote work to the e-mail address of the Accounting Services akp@adm.p.lodz.pl ,
c) provide information about the person who was commissioned to test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the established list of contacts to people from close contacts (name, surname, contact telephone number) to the e-mail address of the Crisis Management Centre: office.vrector.students@adm. p.lodz.pl;
3) the immediate superior of a close contact person at Lodz University of Technology should immediately perform the following actions:
a) order the employee who is a close contact person to work remotely, and in the event that due to the nature of the work it is not possible for the employee to work remotely, the immediate superior is obliged to instruct the employee to self-isolate at home and to limit contacts to a minimum (household),
b) order the student / doctoral student who is a close contact person to participate only in classes conducted with the use of distance learning methods and techniques.
c) provide information about the transfer of an employee who is a close contact person to remote work / self-isolation to the e-mail address of the Accounting Services akp@adm.p.lodz.pl,
d) provide information about the transfer of an employee / student / doctoral student who is a close contact person to work / study using the methods and techniques of distance learning / self-isolation to the e-mail address of the Crisis Management Centre Office.vrector.students@adm.p.lodz.pl.
4. Employee / student / doctoral student with a positive test for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus:
1) an employee / student / doctoral student who is infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus (received a positive test result) should immediately inform the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology by phone and / or e-mail about the positive result of the test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus and the duration of the isolation;
2) the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology of a person with a positive test for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus should immediately perform the following actions:
a) provide information about the positive test result of your employee while in isolation to the e-mail address of the Accounting Services akp@adm.p.lodz.pl,
b) provide information about the positive test result of your employee / student / doctoral student in isolation to the e-mail address of the Crisis Management Centre Office.vrector.students@adm.p.lodz.pl,
c) inform the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology of the close contacts that due to a positive test result, close contacts become people with suspected SARS-CoV-2;
3) the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology of close contact persons should immediately inform employees / students / PhD students who are close contacts that they become suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and should perform the necessary actions specified in the procedure presented in this communication starting from point 2;
4) people from close contact from Lodz University of Technology should immediately follow the guidelines set out in the procedure presented in this communication, starting from point 2.
5. Employee / student / doctoral student with a negative test result for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus:
1) an employee / student / doctoral student who is not infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus (has received a negative test result) should immediately perform the following actions:
a) inform the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology by phone and / or e-mail about the negative result of the test for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus,
b) in the absence of health contraindications, return to work / study according to the currently applicable rules;
2) The immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology of a person with a negative test result for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus should immediately perform the following actions:
a) inform the employee / student / doctoral student about returning to work / study under certain rules,
b) provide information about the negative result of the test of your employee / student / doctoral student who was ordered to work / study remotely / self-isolation to the address of the Crisis Management Centre Office.vrector.students@adm.p.lodz.pl,
c) inform the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology of close contacts that due to a negative test result, close contacts may return to work.
3) the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology of close contacts should immediately inform the close contact persons about the conditions of returning to work / study;
4) close contacts should immediately return to work / study under the conditions agreed with the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology.
6. Failure to obtain the consent of the immediate superior at Lodz University of Technology to perform work in the form of remote work during quarantine or isolation is associated with a reduction in the amount of remuneration to the amount resulting from the rules for the payment of sickness benefits to a person subject to quarantine / isolation.
7. Information procedure for dealing with suspected virus infection
SARS-CoV-2 and the finding of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection indicated in this announcement is presented in the form of a graphic diagram attached to this Announcement.
8. The regulations on the information procedure applicable to employees, students and doctoral students of Lodz University of Technology in relation to the prevention, counteraction and combating the SARS-CoV-2 virus contained in the Announcement No. 1/2021 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology of January 18, 2021, are repealed.
9. The Announcement comes into force on September 10, 2021.
