Announcement of the Vice-Rector for Education on changes in the functioning of the Social Affairs Office of Lodz University of Technology, 22nd April 2020

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to inform you that the Social Affairs Office of Lodz University of Technology resumes accepting social applications from 23 April 2020. Therefore, I hereby provide information about the scope and form of possible applications and the deadlines for their submission:

1) Due to the ongoing epidemic in Poland and the decision to limit direct contact to a necessary minimum, resulting from the Ordinance No. 21/2020 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology and Announcement No. 1 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology, as of 23 April 2020, the Social Affairs Office of TUL will resume accepting social applications electronically at: ags@adm.p.lodz.pl  (scan or clear photo, in *.pdf or *.jpg format) and by post (internal mail or traditional mail to the following address Lodz University of Technology, 90-924 Lodz, Żeromskiego 116 with the note Social Affairs Office) until the restrictions are lifted.

2) An employee who submits a request electronically must complete the request in writing - within 30 days of the formal lifting of the outbreak or restrictions on the operation of the University.

3) Proposed scope of services:
   a) holiday leave - only applications for 'wczasy pod gruszą’ will be collected; the TUL holiday resorts will remain closed as long as hotels and other accommodation remain closed nationwide - announcements in this regard will be sent on an ongoing basis and will depend on the situation in the country;
Confirmation from the supervisor that leave has been granted on the employee's application for a subsidy without an invoice (so-called "grusza") can also be made by attaching an email from the supervisor in this regard;
Personal collection of the grant at the cash desk is currently not possible;
   b) summer holidays for children and teenagers - the statutory deadline of 30 April is changed to 3 new deadlines: 29 May, 30 June and 15 September; applications will be collected on an ongoing basis until 15 September 2020 at the latest;
   c) subsidising the charges for children's stay in nurseries and kindergartens - on an ongoing basis;
   d) benefits - on an ongoing basis;
   e) housing loans - on an ongoing basis;

4) The income on the basis of which the amount of particular benefits is established should be confirmed only on the form "Statement of income for the year..." without the need to present or scan a PIT. The statements will be subject to random verification at a later date by calling an employee to the Social Affairs Office in order to present the original PIT.
