Ordinance No. 48/2020 of Rector of Lodz University of Technology of 17 September 2020 on the organization and participation in classes as well as the organization and participation in exams, tests and consultations carried out at the premises of Lodz University of Technology under the conditions resulting from the prevention, counteraction and combat of the COVID-19 epidemic

 

Pursuant to Article 23(1) and (2)(2) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2020, item 85, as amended), §14(1) and (2) of the Statute of Lodz University of Technology – Resolution No. 88/2019 of the Senate of Lodz University of Technology of 10 July 2019, §1(1) (1) and (2) of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 30 October 2018 on the method of ensuring safe and hygienic working and education conditions at the university (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 2090), the letter of the Chief Sanitary Inspector of 12 May 2020 on the recommendations to ensure the safety of the organization of laboratory and clinical classes at the university and the document of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of 18 May 2020 entitled "Environmental guidelines relating to the partial resumption of the university's activities",

in relation to the prevention, counteracting and combat of the COVID-19 epidemic, guided by the obligation to ensure the safety of students, doctoral students, participants of postgraduate studies, courses, trainings and other forms of education as well as employees staying at Lodz University of Technology, I order the following:

§ 1

I oblige employees, students, participants of doctoral studies and doctoral students of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology, participants of postgraduate studies, courses, trainings and other forms of education conducted at Lodz University of Technology to comply with the rules of organization and participation in classes carried out at the University and the rules of organization and participation in written examinations and tests carried out at the premises of the University specified in Appendices 1, 2, 3 and 4 to this Ordinance, i.e. in:

1) Recommendations for organizers of classes at Lodz University of Technology (Appendix No. 1);

2) Recommendations for organizers on the conditions for conducting exams, tests and consultations at the premises of Lodz University of Technology (Appendix 2);

3) Rules for the participation of students, participants of doctoral studies and doctoral students of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology, participants of postgraduate studies, courses, trainings and other forms of education during didactic classes at Lodz University of Technology (Appendix 3);

4) Rules for the participation of students, participants of doctoral studies and doctoral students of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology, participants of postgraduate studies, courses and trainings in exams and tests, and consultations conducted at the premises of Lodz University of Technology (Appendix 4).

§ 2

I introduce:

1) the obligation to permanently cover the mouth and nose with masks or face shields at the premises of the University where classes are held by students, participants of doctoral studies and doctoral students of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology, participants of postgraduate studies, courses, trainings and other forms of education;

2) the obligation for students, participants of doctoral studies and doctoral students of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology, participants of postgraduate studies, courses, trainings and other forms of education to submit declarations of consent to join a given series of classes conducted at the premises of the University according to the specimen specified in Appendix 5 hereto, as a condition to join classes conducted at the premises of Lodz University of Technology;

3) the obligation that each time students, participants of doctoral studies and doctoral students of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology, participants of postgraduate studies, courses and trainings submit declarations of voluntary participation and the absence of health contraindications according to the specimen specified in Appendix No. 6 to this Ordinance as a condition for taking examinations, tests and participate in consultations conducted at the premises of Lodz University of Technology.

§ 3

The Ordinance shall enter into force on 17 September 2020, with effect from 1 October 2020.
